The Fairfield Alumni Association's By-LawsARTICLE IName and Objective
Section 1. The name of this organization shall be The Fairfield Alumni Association.
Section 2. The object of this organization shall be to benefit and support the Fairfield Area School District and for the maintaining of connections and friendships among The Fairfield Alumni Association.
Section 3. The association acknowledges students in various disciplines for outstanding achievement a Fairfield Area High School Academic Awards Assembly. The awards are supported and maintained by donations from alumnus and by fundraisers. These awards are named in recognition of former alumnus or the Fairfield Alumni Association.ARTICLE II
Executive Board
Section 1. The Executive Board of The Fairfield Alumni Association shall be the President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary.
Section 2. These officers shall perform the duties customary to the office.
Section 3. The election of officers shall be held every spring at the annual Fairfield Alumni Association Banquet Business Meeting.ARTICLE III
Membership
Section 1. Members of this organization shall be graduates of The Fairfield Area School District. Other classmates and friends of the Fairfield Area School District may also be considered for membership.
Section 2. The Executive Board of The Fairfield Alumni Association shall be comprised of the elected officers and representatives from various graduating classes.ARTICLE IV
Meetings
Section 1. The Executive Board of The Fairfield Alumni Association will meet at least two times annually: Spring Banquet Business Meeting, and in October (or held at the convenience of the officers). The President may call special meetings.
Section 2. A quorum shall be nay number present after due notice has been given to members.
Section 3. The annual business meeting and banquet for The Fairfield Alumni Association shall be held (typically) the third Saturday in May or upon an approved building usage date by the school district.
Section 4. Officers of The Fairfield Alumni Association will be recognized at the annual Banquet and Business Meeting.
Section 5. Roberts Rules of Order shall govern the procedural aspects of the meeting.ARTICLE V
Dues
Section 1. Membership dues shall be paid annually to the Treasurer. Dues notice and information will be sent with the Alumni Banquet information.
